Uttarakhand: Government officials will have to take permission before calling District Magistrates in the meeting, Chief Secretary gave these instructions

In Uttarakhand, it will no longer be so easy to call District Magistrates for meetings through video conferencing. Instructions have been issued to officers at the government level that if the District Magistrate has to be called through video conferencing, then permission will have to be taken from Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu. However, Tuesday and Thursday have been fixed for calling District Magistrates for meetings at the government level. But despite this, many senior government officials are regularly sending notices to the District Magistrates to attend the meetings through video conferencing.

Some special instructions were given earlier regarding District Magistrates for various meetings to be held at the government level in Uttarakhand. But these instructions are not being followed. In fact, earlier instructions were issued that if the District Magistrates of different districts are to be called for a meeting through video conferencing, then Tuesday and Thursday should be fixed for it. Not only this, these meetings should be held after 4:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

This decision was taken so that other work is not affected due to the participation of District Magistrates in the meetings. However, these countries are not following it and notices are being sent to the District Magistrates by senior officials at the government level for various meetings. The special thing is that this information has been given to the Chief Secretary by the District Magistrates themselves. After this, the Chief Secretary has once again issued instructions on this, as per the instructions given earlier, the District Officers of the districts have been asked to be included in the meetings.

In the Uttarakhand government, district officers at the level of Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and Secretary are called to meetings regarding various departments and schemes. Due to this, the District Magistrate remains busy in these meetings every day through video conferencing. Due to this, other work in the districts is being affected and taking cognizance of these things, new instructions have been issued by the Chief Secretary.
