Mysterious creature found on the seashore, is it an alien or a mermaid? Scientists were surprised to see!
Apart from this earth, there are many such creatures in the depths of the sea about which humans have very little information. Often such creatures have been found in dense forests, caves or on the sea shore which were never seen again before or after that. Recently, something similar has been found in Papua New Guinea which people are calling a mermaid.
‘Much like a mermaid’
The shape of a dead and almost decomposed white colored creature washed up on a beach in Papua New Guinea is quite similar to that of a mermaid. However, its upper part does not look like that of a human because this part is missing due to the decomposition of the dead body. But still it matches the mermaids read in books and stories.
‘Maybe a mermaid, a monster or an alien’
Pictures of this rather ghostly looking creature were shared on a Facebook page called “New Irelanders Only”. Seeing these pictures, people are commenting a lot. Some are calling it a mermaid, some a demon and some an alien. Experts are still unable to understand what it is, but they believe that it could be a sea creature that has reached Earth for the first time.
A large part of the body is missing
According to Live Science, it is being considered as a globster. Because most of it has decayed, it is difficult to trace its exact origin. Also, some parts of the body are missing which may have fallen into the sea.
‘If DNA samples are not kept…’
NIO representatives told Live Science that there is no information about the size and weight of the corpse because it was buried by local people. Its size and weight were not measured properly before burial. Also, no one kept the DNA samples, which made its proper identification almost impossible.
‘Cetaceans change color like this’
Helen Marsh, an environmental scientist at James Cook University in Australia, told Live Science that it looks like a marine mammal. After this, marine mammal expert Sasha Hooker of St. Andrews University in Scotland further limited it. “It looks to me like a badly decomposed cetacean,” he told Live Science. He said, cetaceans i.e. whales and dolphins are seen changing into this color while shedding their skin.
