The couple fled to America after taking a loan of Rs 100 crore in Gujarat. This incident happened in a bank in Surat, Gujarat, whose name was Bank of Baroda, from where a couple took a loan of Rs 100 crore and fled to America. After registering the FIR, all the investigations related to this are now being done by CBI which has revealed that the other accused related to this are also absconding.
Bank association and other companies have also not been paid
CBI investigation revealed that Surat resident Vijay Shah, his wife Kavita Shah and Satish Aggarwal took a loan of Rs 100 crore from Bank of Baroda. CBI investigation has also revealed that all these accused have not yet paid the money taken from the bank as well as from Surat based solar company Infrastructure Private Limited, which was worth Rs 2 crore. The owner of the company had complained to the PMO and the CBI for non-payment of payments, only after this the CBI started its investigation in this matter.
There are many allegations against Vijay Shah
While investigating the case of CBI, it came to light that the absconding accused Vijay Shah is the director of a company in Surat named Hitech Sweet Water Company. Investigation of the case has revealed that along with non-payment of payments to the bank and the company, he has also been accused of committing fraud related to land in Rajasthan and scam of selling the same plot of land to two persons in Surat. Not only this but Vijay Shah had also collected money from another businessman and only after that he fled to America.
Before absconding, they had fired all the employees of the company along with the director
Before fleeing to America, both the fraudster couple Shah had removed the director of the company, Satish Aggarwal from the post of director and had also fired all the employees from the company. The purpose of firing all the employees from the company was to ensure that no action was taken against them. Along with this, fraudster Vijay Shah had also taken a loan from Memon Co-operative Bank, after which he declared himself bankrupt. Merged into Bank of Baroda. Only after all this, Vijay Shah took a loan of Rs 100 crore in pieces from Bank of Baroda.
Along with the couple, a complaint has also been lodged against another director
Hiren Bhavsar, owner of solar company Kashyap Private Limited, who was implicated in Vijay Shah’s fraud. He has also accused the couple and several other directors of fraud and has filed a complaint against them with the CBI. In this matter, many complaints have been lodged with CBI from Gandhinagar. Details have also been sought from the Economics Cell for further investigation in this matter. The owner of the company, Hiren Bhavsar, said that Rs 2 crores were taken from him fraudulently. A complaint has been registered against accused Vijay Shah and Narendra Garg in the land scam case in Rajasthan’s Jaipur and Ajmer and GIDC Ankleshwar. CBI says that the accused had many criminal history, hence he feared that he would be arrested, so he fled to America with his wife before any trouble came to him.
