Uttar Pradesh: BHU IIT student molested by outside students inside the campus, students sitting on strike

Kashi Hindu University Students have come out on the streets in protest against the molestation of a student in the IIT department late on Wednesday night. More than 2000 students protested by blocking the campus. During this the director raised slogans of Hi-Hi. Also demanded a closed campus. The students also demanded that the entry of outsiders into the campus should be banned. This incident that happened in BHU campus has shocked the students. Question marks are being raised on the security of BHU campus.

Referring to the incident that happened inside the BHU campus, the student has written in her complaint that I and my friends were going towards Delhi hostel, when on the way, three boys riding bullets suddenly arrived and separated my friend and forcibly took me along with them. Taking advantage of the silence, all three did as much wrong to me as they could and also made a video of the entire incident. After some time, I ran away from the clutches of those three boys and stopped at the residence of a professor.

I banged the door of the professor’s residence loudly, after which the professor came out from inside. I told the entire incident to the professor. After this, the professor called the BHU security personnel and called them to the spot. The security personnel went and dropped me in the hostel, after which my fear subsided a bit.

On Thursday, IIT students reached outside Rajputana Hostel. Protested regarding security in the university campus. During this time the students had come with banners and posters with them. Students say, the biggest heinous crime so far happened on November 1. At 2 o’clock in the night, IIT students and students were going somewhere. Then some miscreants who came from outside first separated the two. After this, he took the girl aside and did as much wrong as could be done.

Seeing the anger of the students, Lanka Police registered the case without any delay and started investigation. The police are also busy scanning the CCTV cameras installed around the incident site. At present, there is an atmosphere of anger among the students regarding this incident and the students are sitting on strike.
