Bihar: Economic survey report presented on caste basis; SC is the most poor and general category is the least poor
Today is the second day of the winter session of Bihar Legislature. As soon as the session started, the economic report of caste based census was presented on the table of the House. The report said that in Bihar, there are 33.16% poor families in the backward class, 25.09% in the general category, 33.58% in the extremely backward class, 42.93% in the Scheduled Caste category (SC) and 42.7% in the Scheduled Tribe category (ST). Among the general category, Bhumihar 25.32% families, Brahmin 25.3% families, Rajput 24.89% families, Kayastha 13.83% families, Shaikh 25.84% families, Pathan (Khan) 22.20% families and Syed 17.61% families are poor. 34.13 percent people in Bihar are poor. That means their income is less than Rs 6 thousand.

Here, 23.68% families in Bhatt, 30.68% families in Goswami, 34.32% families in Kushwaha, 35.87% families in Yadav, 29.90% families in Kurmi, 44.17% families in Ghatwar, 26.58% families in Sonar, 32.99% families in Mallah, 32.99% families in Bania. 24.62% households, Mallik, Muslim 17.26% households, Suryapuri Muslim 29.33%, Christian (OBC) 15.79% households, Christian Dharmalambhi Harijan 29.12% households and Kinnar 25.73% households are poor.

29.87% families in Teli, 34.56% families in Mallah, 32.99% families in Kanu, 34.75% families in Dhanuk, 35.88% families in Nonia, 34.08% families in Chandravanshi, 38.37% families in Barber, Carpenter 27.71% families, 33.39% families in Prajapati, 33.20% families in Pal are poor.
Only 7% of the population has graduate education
22.67% of the population of Bihar has education from class 1 to 5. 14.33% of the population has education from class 6 to 8. 14.71% of the population has education from class 9 to 10. Whereas 9.19% of the population has education from class 11 to 12. And more than 7% of the population has graduate education.
10 to 20 thousand monthly income is 19% population
Whereas in the general category 10 to 20 thousand monthly income is 19% of the population. 20 to 50 thousand monthly income is 16% of the population. There are 9% people with monthly income more than Rs 50 thousand. Those with a monthly income of Rs 6,000 are 25%.
Leader of Opposition said – Crime is at its peak in Bihar
Leader of Opposition Vijay Sinha said that many complaints have been received in this caste survey. Be it Chandravanshi or Dhanuk community, everyone sat on protest with their complaints. Bihar government did not give information about which caste and how many unemployed. Only information about how many people are employed in which caste was given. Why is the government silent on the issue of unemployment?
Opposition also cornered the government on the issue of crime
Leader of Opposition Vijay Sinha asked how many dead bodies will the Bihar government’s hunger be satisfied. Murder took place in Vikram, Patna. A sand trader was murdered. Crime is at its peak in Bihar. Why is Bihar government not saying anything on this? Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Choudhary said that the Leader of Opposition accused me that we rotate the chair, but let me tell you that I do not have the capacity to rotate the chair. After this, the MLAs in the House demanded to give the status of government employees to Anganwadi workers and cooks and increase the pay scale.
BJP created ruckus in Well
Before the commencement of the House on the second day of the five-day session, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party came to the Well and started creating ruckus. Commotion is possible with formalities. Their demand is to create ruckus for debating the Economic Survey and publishing the details up to the block level. Assembly Speaker Avadh Bihari Chaudhary tried to convince the BJP MLAs but the BJP MLAs agreed. After this they also started trying to lift the chair and table. However, the Marshal prevented him from doing so.
