Bobby Deol described his character in Animal as a family one, said – this is not how Bhamika was imagined as a villain
Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is making waves at the box office. There is a lot of discussion about the film on social media. Animal has made many records at the box office so far. The brilliant performance of the actors in the film is being praised a lot. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol is also seen in an important role in the film. He has played a great role of villain in the film. He recently revealed that he had envisioned his character not as a villain but as a man suffering from childhood trauma.
Bobby Deol plays the role of silent gangster Abrar Haq in the film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. His character in the film is receiving tremendous praise. Everyone is surprised to see his body transformation in the film. Bobby Deol has made his comeback on the big screen after almost four years with the film Animal. He has described Abrar as a family man. He said, ‘I did not think of my character as a villain. I envisioned my character as a child who loses his voice in shock after seeing his grandfather commit suicide.
Bobby Deol further said, ‘He swears to avenge his grandfather’s death. He is very family oriented. He is also a romantic, he has three wives. He said, ‘He can kill or die for his family.’ Describing violence as an emotion, Deol said, the animal inside the characters of this film has awakened. They are all like animals. That’s why there is violence. It is a family drama, based on the story of father-son and family relationships.
“It is a reflection of what happens in society,” he said. Of course this kind of action is created visually so that people are interested in it but that kind of action, that kind of violence exists in our society. The actor said, ‘Stories cannot be written without being influenced by what is happening in the society. I am an actor, I am not trying to promote anything. I’m just an actor portraying something and if the film makes you aware of what’s happening around you, that’s the beauty of it.’

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Trupti Dimri. Animal is close to earning Rs 800 crore at the worldwide box office. This action drama film has been released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
