Uttarakhand: If you are coming to Mussoorie, pay attention, traffic plan released for 31st December and Winter Line Carnival

Tourists from all over the country are coming to Mussoorie for New Year celebrations. In view of the increasing crowd, the police has prepared a traffic plan for better convenience of tourists coming to Mussoorie from outside states.

If you are coming to Mussoorie for 31st December and Winter Line Carnival, then this news is for you. A traffic plan has been prepared by the Traffic Police Dehradun for better convenience of tourists coming to Mussoorie from outside states. Along with this, additional parking spaces have also been identified for proper parking of vehicles.

Traffic police issued traffic plan

1. Vehicles coming towards Mussoorie from Tehri bus stand are diverted towards South Road from Anupam Chowk in Landour. Out of which vehicles going towards Dehradun can be sent towards Civil Hospital.
2. Vehicles coming from Landour side can be parked in MDDA parking and vehicles going towards Dehradun will be diverted towards Picture Palace bus stand via Municipality office.
3. Vehicles going from Library to Picture Palace will be diverted from Ambedkar Chowk (Horse Stand) towards Camel Back Road and sent towards their respective destinations from Picture Palace Barrier via Green Chowk, Kuldi Bazaar.
4. Vehicles going from Mussoorie to Dehradun will be diverted from JP Band towards Barloganj via King Greg and sent towards Dehradun from Jharipani.
   5-Vehicles going towards Picture Palace will be sent from Bada Mod towards Barloganj via Vine Square Allen School.
5. In case of traffic pressure at Library Chowk, vehicles going from Dehradun towards Kempty will be diverted from Zero Point towards Kempty Falls via Spring Road, Kala School to Harnam Singh Marg.
6. In case of traffic pressure in Mussoorie, vehicles will be diverted from Gajji Band towards Hathi Paon.
7. Entry of heavy vehicles coming towards Mussoorie from Vikasnagar, Dehradun and Suakholi will be restricted during day time.
8. Effective monitoring will also be done through drones.
9. Mall Road from Green Chowk via Jhulaghar will remain one-way towards Library Chowk.
10. Vehicles will be banned from Ambedkar Chowk towards Garhwal Terrace, Jhula Ghar Mall Road.
11. In case of vehicular pressure in Kuldi market, vehicles will be diverted towards Bratt Wood Hotel and diverted towards Clark Hotel.

Routes and parking to go to the Winter Carnival event

The VIP route to attend the Winter Carnival event will be from Picture Palace, MDDA parking to the Town Hall event venue via a major turn from Kingreg. Whereas on return the vehicles will be sent from Townhall via Municipality, Picture Palace to the destination. Let us tell you that if tents and food stalls are installed on Mall Road, the drivers using this route will be diverted from Ambedkar Chowk towards Left Camel Back.

Vehicles will be able to park here

• Parking for 100 vehicles at Picture Palace.
• Landour Road Parking Parking for 50 to 80 small vehicles.
• Parking at Kempty Road, parking for 250 to 300 small vehicles and 20 big vehicles.
• Parking for 70-80 four-wheelers and 100-120 two-wheelers below the Town Hall.
• King Craig Parking 400.
