IDF discovered Hamas’s longest tunnel, 300 km deep
It has been more than 80 days since the war between Israel and Hamas started. During this time, the Israeli army is engaged with full force in destroying the Hamas bases in Gaza. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered a tunnel of Hamas, which is deeper than any other tunnel discovered before, its depth was said to be 300 km.
The IDF recently discovered a heavily fortified Hamas tunnel, one of the largest discovered by Israel during the war. This tunnel is located just 100 meters away from the erase border. After a big hole was seen near the border, when the IDF explored it, it was revealed to be a 300 km long tunnel. According to Sky News report, steel pipes, concrete infrastructure and electrical wires were also hanging inside the tunnel. There were no lights in this tunnel, due to which it was pitch dark.
Hamas has been preparing the tunnels for many years
Giving information about the depth of the tunnel, the IDF said that the tunnel went for more than 300 kilometers in central Gaza city. Israel has claimed that Hamas has been building its underground infrastructure for years. The tunnel is used by fighters of Hamas and other terrorist groups. Sky News report claims that Hamas uses tunnels to transport and store weapons.
Apart from this, they use tunnels to imprison hostages, because recently the Israeli army recovered dead bodies of 5 hostages from a tunnel. Israel destroys Hamas’s tunnels and later Hamas rebuilds the tunnels.
