3 crore Marathas will come to Mumbai on January 20, Manoj Jarange Patil’s warning to the government

Shivba organization leader Manoj Jarange Patil warned that at least three crore Marathas will lay siege to Mumbai from January 20 to pressurize them to give reservation to the Maratha community. Speaking to reporters in Jalna, he said that from January 20, people will leave their towns and villages across Maharashtra. They will come on foot, in buses, big and small vehicles or tractors. It will be a peaceful march, no one will pick up stones or resort to violence. He called upon his supporters to reach Mumbai with any suitable mode of transport without any fear and said not to worry, your vehicles will not be confiscated.
Jarange Patil will reach Mumbai on foot from his village Antarwali-Sarati in Jalna district, during which he will cover a distance of approximately 400 kilometers. Lakhs of people are expected to join them on the way, giving them a rousing welcome at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai where they will sit on an indefinite hunger strike. Responding to a question, he said that if the marchers or their vehicles were stopped anywhere, thousands of Marathas would go and surround the houses of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai and Nagpur. Asked on what basis he would address the gathering in Mumbai, Jarange-Patil retorted that we would need to capture all the grounds as three crore Marathas from all over Maharashtra are expected to come here. With a population of around 1.50 crore, Mumbai has barely half a dozen huge open grounds including Azad Maidan, Oval Maidan, Cross Maidan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park, BKC Maidan, Chowpatty and Juhu beach to name a few, which are used for such public events. Is done for. He said that the goal is reservation, the direction is Mumbai, we are going to Mumbai, that is, we are going there, there is no stopping now. And we will come back with the quota.
Jarange-Patil reiterated his demand that eligible Marathas should be given Kunbi caste (OBC) certificates to make them entitled to the OBC quota, and vowed to fight till his last breath to get reservation for the community.
