Police reached Bengal in search of minor girl, found 35 girls missing in one year, police shocked

Mumbai Police had reached Bengal to save a 17-year-old minor girl, but when the team reached Panjipada area, they also recovered all those girls who had gone missing from Dharavi area of Mumbai in the last one year.

Actually, Maharashtra Police had reached West Bengal in search of a 17 year old minor girl who was recently kidnapped from Mumbai and brought to West Bengal. Some people had kidnapped a girl in Mumbai to force her into prostitution in West Bengal.

Regarding this, Dharavi Police said that a 17 year old girl from the city was kidnapped and forced into prostitution in West Bengal, who has been rescued. An official said that Kunal Pandey (30) and Sikandar Shaikh have been arrested from Champaran, Bihar for their involvement in the kidnapping of the girl.

He said, with this rescue, Dharavi Police has solved all the missing children cases of 2023 and reunited 35 girls who had gone missing earlier, with their parents. In the present case, the girl had gone missing from her Dharavi home in September, the officer said. On the complaint of her father, a case of kidnapping was registered against unknown people.

After receiving information that he was in Panjipara, West Bengal, a team of Dharavi police reached Bengal and rescued him from a brothel. A case was registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.

In another case, a 14-year-old girl, who was leaving her home and going to Patna by train, was also stopped and reunited with her parents. After filing a complaint of kidnapping on Thursday, the police examined the CCTV footage and found that the girl was boarding a train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Patna.

The official said that after this, Mumbai Police alerted the Government Railway Police, Aurangabad and the girl was taken into custody at Raver railway station and brought back to the city.
