Uttarakhand: CM Dhami did online RTI. Launch of portal and online second appeal/complaint and hybrid hearing system

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched Uttarakhand Online RTI in the Secretariat on Monday. The system of portal and online second appeal/complaint and hybrid hearing was launched. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the portal created for online sending of information request letters and first appeals.

The Chief Minister said that the creation of online RTI portal will be of great help to the people. People will also save time in traveling to and from the hearing of appeals. The Right to Information Act makes it easier for people to resolve their personal and community problems related to government administration. He said that the residents of remote and hilly areas of the state will get the most benefit from the online facilities started today and they will get the facility of making applications and first appeal online under the Right to Information Act, as well as second appeal. You will also get the facility to participate in the appeal from your own place. He expressed hope that the general public will take maximum advantage of these facilities.

Chief Information Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha said that both the facilities of online registration of second appeals and complaints and participation in the hearing through hybrid mode will be made available to the general public from today itself. Online RTI The ID of Public Information Officers and First Appellate Officers of all departments will be available in the portal. Will be prepared and necessary training will be provided to the concerned officers to work on the portal. Soon, information, application form, application fee and first appeal will also be sent online by the general public through the portal. Informing about the progress of registration and disposal of appeals and complaints received under the Right to Information Act, the Chief Information Commissioner said that in December 2023, a total of 299 cases were disposed of by the Commission while conducting 521 hearings. In the period from January 2022 to December 2023, the Commission conducted a total of 11037 hearings and disposed of 6735 cases.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi, State Information Commissioner Vivek Sharma, Vipin Chandra, Arjun Singh and Yogesh Bhatt, Secretary Deependra Chaudhary, Additional Secretary Pratap Singh Shah, Secretary Uttarakhand Information Commission Arvind Kumar Pandey were present.
