Haryana: Ashok Tanwar resigned from AAP, said this while mentioning Congress

Resignations: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashok Tanwar resigned from the party on Thursday (January 18). Tanwar said in a letter to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal that he was leaving the party because of joining the Congress.

Tanwar said, “In view of the current political situation and your departure with the Congress, my morality does not allow me to continue on the post of Chairman of the Election Campaign Committee of Haryana.” In such a situation, please accept my resignation from the primary membership of the party and all other responsibilities.

What did Ashok Tanwar say?
Tanwar said that being a responsible citizen of the country and being active in politics since student life, I have always believed in the Constitution. In such a situation, for me the country and its people come first. I will always work for the betterment of the country, Haryana and India.

Ashok Tanwar has resigned at a time when preparations for the Lok Sabha elections are going on in full swing. Haryana Assembly elections are also to be held at the end of the year 2024. For this reason this is being seen as a big shock for you.

Actually, Congress and AAP are part of India, the opposition alliance united against BJP. Discussion is going on between both the parties regarding sharing of Lok Sabha seats of Delhi and Punjab. Sources had recently told ABP News that AAP is demanding seats from Congress in Haryana and Goa. Both the parties termed the discussion of seat sharing as positive and reiterated their point of unity.
