CBI summons lawyer Jai Ananth Dehadrai in Mahua Moitra case

Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai has been summoned by CBI. Jai Ananth Dehadrai has been summoned by the investigating agency in connection with the investigation into corruption allegations against Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra. CBI has called him for questioning on Thursday. The investigating agent will question and answer Mahua (Mahua Moitra). Mahua Moitra was accused of taking bribe including Rs 2 crore in cash and “luxury gifts” from businessman Darshan Hiranandani in exchange for asking questions against the government in Parliament.

The Ethics Committee had considered Mahua Moitra’s work as “very objectionable, unethical, heinous and criminal” and had suggested canceling her Lok Sabha membership. In fact, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in this matter, seeking cash against Mahua Moitra. Allegations of ‘for-query’ were made. This complaint was made following a letter by lawyer Jai Ananth Dehadrai. Based on the letter, Nishikant complained about this matter to the Lok Sabha Speaker, and the Speaker sent it to the Ethics Committee. .

Anant Dehadrai will be interrogated in Mahua Moitra case

Anant Dehadrai had presented all the evidence against Mahua Moitra before the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee in October. In an affidavit, Darshan Hiranandani had alleged that Trinamool leader Mahua Moitra, when she was an MP, had shared her Lok Sabha login and password with him, so that he could send her information and raise questions in Parliament. After this Mahua had accepted the matter of sharing the parliamentary login.
