Violence broke out once again in Manipur on Tuesday. Two people were killed and five others injured in fresh firing between two groups on Tuesday. While many people are reported missing. According to sources, the death toll in the firing that took place in Kadangban village on the border of Imphal West and Kangkopki district may increase. The dead and injured have been brought to Imphal. There is tension in the area after the incident and security forces are conducting a search operation.

According to sources, at around 12.30 am on Tuesday, there was heavy firing between suspected Mautei terrorists, volunteers, VBIG, Arambai Tenggols and suspected Kuki terrorists, armed volunteers, HBIG groups in general area of ​​Bethel and Lambung hill under Sapermina. Gunmen entered Kadangban village near Limakhong and killed 2 people, while five others were injured by gunfire. In this, two Meitei suspected terrorists volunteers, VBIG were killed.

Five other people were injured in the firing. The death toll may increase. Not only this, some people are also reported missing in the violence. Meanwhile, the dead bodies and injured have been brought to RIMS Hospital in Imphal. The bodies were recovered by joint teams of security forces during a search operation in the evening. The incident is said to have happened around 1 pm today.
