Voting for Rajya Sabha seat will be held on 27 February

The Rajya Sabha seat has become vacant due to the end of the tenure of Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni in the state. Voting for which will be held on 27th February.

The Rajya Sabha seat has become vacant due to the end of the tenure of Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni. Voting for which will take place on 27th February. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer will issue its notification on February 8. According to Chief Electoral Officer Dr. V Shanmugam, nominations for the Rajya Sabha elections will be held from February 8 to February 15.

Scrutiny will take place on 16th February
Chief Electoral Officer Dr. V Shanmugam said that after nomination, scrutiny will take place on February 16. After which there will be an opportunity to withdraw the name on 20th February. After which voting will take place in the Assembly on February 27 from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will take place on February 27 itself at 5 pm.
