Pakistan Cricket Board breaks ties with Mohammad Hafeez, snatches his post after just two series

Nothing is going right in Pakistan cricket. The phase of change that started after the disappointing performance in the World Cup 2023 is not showing signs of stopping. The team could not even reach the semi-finals of the tournament and could register only four wins. After this there was a reshuffle in the leadership also. Babar Azam stepped down from the captaincy and was replaced by Shan Masood for Test matches and Shaheen Afridi for T20 matches. Meanwhile, Mohammad Hafeez was appointed as the team director.
Hafeez removed from post
Mohammad Hafeez could not remain the director of Pakistan cricket team even for three months. He has been removed from the post. After Hafeez became the director, Pakistan played a three-match Test series in Australia. The team lost all the matches. After this, Pakistan had to face 4-1 defeat in the 5-match T20 series on the New Zealand tour. Now it has been announced to remove Hafeez from his post. PCB has thanked Hafeez on social media.

Players were angry with Hafeez
Most of the players were angry with the attitude of Pakistan cricket team director Mohammad Hafeez. According to the players, former all-rounder Hafeez used to hold long meetings and make a lot of speeches. According to a report, the players were angry with Hafeez’s long speech. He said that he says the same thing again and again. Along with this, Hafeez was also accused of bias in giving NOC.

Pakistan cricket team will play its next series in May. The team will go on a tour of England just before the T20 World Cup. Right now their players are preparing to participate in Pakistan Super League. This 34-match T20 league will start from February 17 in Lahore.
