Pakistan: If he cannot work, Pakistan’s PM should leave his post, Islamabad High Court’s strict comment
A High Court of Pakistan has made a sharp comment on the non-appearance of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar in the case of missing Baloch students. Islamabad High Court said that if acting Prime Minister Kakar cannot perform his duties then he should step down from the post.
Kakar did not appear for the second time also
Kakar did not appear in the court for the second time on Monday demanding the recovery of missing Baloch students. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani asked Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, appearing for the government, about the absence of Prime Minister Kakar. The Attorney General said that the Prime Minister could not attend due to his busy schedule in Karachi.
High Court raised questions regarding absence
After this, the court also questioned the absence of the Defense and Home Ministers. Justice Kayani expressed concern over the non-recovery of missing people without criminal records.
The High Court judge said the purpose of summoning the Prime Minister was to ask why he failed to perform his duty. If the Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Home Minister and Secretary cannot perform their duties then they should resign from their posts.
