Case registered against former Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand in Shimla, accused of conspiring to topple the Congress government in Himachal

Another twist has come in the politics of Himachal Pradesh. Cross voting in Rajya Sabha is now entangled in legal situations. An FIR has been registered in this regard with Shimla Police. According to this, an FIR has been registered against an MLA and the father of an MLA for cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha elections during the budget session of the Assembly, the father of the MLA, who has also been the former Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand.
In fact, independent MLA from Hamirpur Ashish Sharma and father of Gagret’s rebel MLA Chaitanya Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, have been accused of vote-buying and transactions worth crores in the Rajya Sabha elections. Rakesh Sharma has been the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand.
The complaint regarding the matter has been lodged by MLA Sanjay Awasthi and MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur at Baluganj police station in Shimla. In the complaint given to the police, MLA Sanjay Awasthi and MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur have accused Hamirpur independent MLA Ashish Sharma and Gagret MLA Chaitanya Sharma’s father Rakesh Sharma of vote-buying and transactions worth crores in the Rajya Sabha elections.
Not only this, MLA Sanjay Awasthi and MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur have also made allegations of toppling the government illegally and making arrangements for the MLAs to stay in five to seven star hotels and taking the rebel MLAs by helicopter. In the complaint given to the police, it has been alleged that Rakesh Sharma, father of Gagret MLA Chaitanya Sharma, has held the post of a high official in Uttarakhand and has conspired to topple the government.
In this matter of allegations of vote buying and transaction worth crores in Rajya Sabha elections, the police have registered a case and started investigation. A case has been registered against the accused in Police Station Baluganj under sections 171 C and E, 120B IPC and sections 7 and 8 of the PC Act. Shimla Police is investigating the entire matter thoroughly. However, police officials are avoiding saying anything on this.
