Madhya Pradesh / Jabalpur: Killed before dying, 40 were ‘burned’ on papers… the reason will surprise you

In MP’s Jabalpur, a case of taking government benefits by declaring 40 living people dead on paper has come to light. Here, 40 living men and women were proved dead in government documents and government assistance was taken in their name. The youth running MP Online along with the Municipal Corporation employees have carried out this incident. When a female laborer suspected misuse of her certificate, she reached the Municipal Corporation office, after which this fraud gang was busted. It is being told that the links of this gang are spread till Chhattisgarh.

Actually, Jabalpur Police has exposed a gang which used to withdraw the amount received under government schemes by making fake death certificates of living people. The police have arrested Sheikh Shahzad, resident of New Neta Colony Adhartal, Aaqib Rafiq, resident of New Anand Nagar Hanumantal and Salman and Mohammad Sheikh Saddam, residents of Mecca Nagar Hanumant. The police have found 40 fake death certificates from them.

Busted on complaint of female laborer

According to the police, Syeda Rizwana Rizvi, a resident of Hanumantal police station area, lodged a complaint in which it was told that in the year 2020, she had given Aadhaar card, other documents and passport size photo to a person named Sheikh Shehzad to get the wage card made. Along with this, Rs 5000 was also given. After 6 months, Sheikh Shahzad made him a wage card and gave it to him. But after a few months he came to know that Sheikh Shahzad was misusing the wage card. On this suspicion, when she reached the Municipal Corporation office, she came to know that after making a death certificate in her name, the funeral amount of Rs. 6 thousand and Rs. 2 lakh of the assistance amount given under Sambal Yojana had been withdrawn. Then on his complaint the police investigated and Sheikh Shahzad, who runs MP Online shop in Aadhartal police station area, and his friend Aaqib Rafiq were detained.

More than 40 fake death certificates recovered

The accused told the police that till now they have made more than 40 fake death certificates and through these death certificates, the amount received through the Sambal Yojana run by the Madhya Pradesh government has been transferred to the bank accounts. Salman, an associate of the accused, used to edit the bank account documents and insert other documents and the amount received from the government was transferred to those bank accounts.
