CAPFs will be deployed at all booths in Uttarakhand in Lok Sabha elections, police officers will be held accountable for negligence

Elections for 5 Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand will be held in the first phase on 19 April. Only a month is left to prepare for the elections. The DGP of Uttarakhand is strictly implementing every order of the Election Commission which is related to the police. Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar told what actions the police is taking during this period.
DGP’s order regarding elections
DGP Abhinav Kumar says that posts are being deployed on the borders of the state. According to the instructions of the Election Commission, checking will be done on the movement of illegal liquor and cash at the borders. So that the election process can be made smooth so that the elections will not be affected. Strict monitoring will be done and if any irregularity occurs, not only action will be taken against the culprits but the concerned officers and staff of the police station of that area will also be held accountable.
CAPFs will be deployed at all booths
On security preparations in the state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar says, all police officers have been instructed to strictly implement the code of conduct. Action will be taken against those who violate the code of conduct. Policemen, Home Guards and CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces) will be deployed at all the booths.
These districts have borders with other countries
It is noteworthy that Uttarakhand is a Himalayan border state of India. Its three districts, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts share their borders with Nepal. Along with this, the borders of three districts Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh meet with Tibet occupied by China. Not only this, the borders of five districts Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Pauri, Haridwar and Dehradun are with the neighboring state Uttar Pradesh. The boundaries of Uttarkashi and Dehradun districts meet the neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh.
