Maharashtra: Announcement of 16 candidates in the first list of Shiv Sena-UBT, former Union ministers also get a chance

Shiv Sena-UBT has released the first list for Lok Sabha elections 2024. 16 candidates have been announced in this list. Two former Union Ministers have also been included in the list. Former Union Minister Anant Geete will contest from Raigarh while former Union Minister Arvind Sawant will contest from South Mumbai. Apart from this, the party has also fielded Rajan Vichare from Thane, Amol Kirtikar from Mumbai North-West and Sanjay Patil from Mumbai North-East.

On the other hand, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), another component of Maha Vikas Aghadi, has not yet announced its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, Congress has announced its candidates on some seats.

Voting will be held in five phases in Maharashtra
Elections for 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be held in five phases on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13 and May 20 and the counting of votes will take place on June 4. Maharashtra has the highest number of 48 Lok Sabha seats after Uttar Pradesh.
