Uttarakhand: Two Lisa workers died due to massive forest fire in Someshwar, Almora, two women got seriously burnt

There is a massive fire in the forest of Sunrakot of Someshwar assembly seat of the district. Due to strong winds the forest fire took a severe form on Thursday. The forest fire started moving towards the border of the village. Meanwhile, four Lisa workers working in the forest to extract Lisa got trapped in the midst of the flames.
While trying to extinguish the fire, a worker got caught in the fierce flames and died on the spot. Three Leesa workers have suffered serious burns. These workers have been admitted to the base campus of Almora Medical College for treatment. Another worker died during treatment in Almora hospital. There is panic in the area due to Lisa workers getting caught in the forest fire.
On Thursday, a sudden fire broke out in the forest of Seunrakot, the native village of famous poet Sumitranandan Pant. The fire took a huge form within some time. During this incident of forest fire, four Nepalese workers working in the forest to extract leesa got trapped in the midst of the flames. All four tried hard to extinguish the fire, but they proved unsuccessful in saving themselves from the raging flames. In this incident of forest fire, a Nepalese laborer named Deepak Bahadur has died tragically. Three other workers, Gyanesh, Tara and Pooja, sustained serious burn injuries.
The injured were hurriedly taken out of the forest with the help of the villagers. Leesa contractor and former chief Ramesh Bhakuni, who was present on the spot, said that information about the accident was given to the administration and the emergency service 108 ambulance. But even after four hours of information, the ambulance did not reach the spot. Due to this, the injured were sent to the hospital for treatment in local vehicles. CMS Dr Ashok of Base Hospital said that three people burnt in the fire have been brought to the hospital. These people have suffered more than 90 percent burns. They are being given first aid. There is no burn ward in the hospital. A Lisa worker Gyanesh also died during treatment. Tara and Pooja have been sent to Higher Center Haldwani after first aid.
Police SI Krishna Kumar, who reached the hospital, said that information about the incident was received from the base hospital that three people were brought here in a burnt condition. Information has been received that four people were caught in the forest fire, out of which one worker died on the spot. Three workers are being treated at the base hospital. There is a stir in the forest department after this sudden accident.
