Air Force operation to extinguish forest fire in Uttarakhand continues for the third day, MI-17 extinguished fire at three places today
Air Force operation is going on to extinguish the fire in the forests of Uttarakhand. Due to continuous incidents of forest fire in Pauri district, the Air Force has concentrated its operations here. To stop forest fire, the district administration and forest department have taken the help of the Air Force.
Air Force’s forest fire extinguishing operation continues
The Air Force team has been trying to stop forest fire in Pauri district for the last three days. From 8 am today, Air Force helicopter MI 17 filled water from GVK lake with Bambi bucket. The work of extinguishing the forest fire in Advani was done with this water. Along with this, forest fire was extinguished in Khirsu and Charkundi around Srinagar. Today the Air Force will continue its operations till late evening.
Chief Forest Conservator of Garhwal reached Pauri
Along with this, Chief Forest Conservator Garhwal Naresh Kumar reached Pauri to take stock of the forests of Pauri which were burning fiercely due to forest fire during the fire season. Chief Conservator of Forests, Garhwal said that efforts are being made continuously to control the incidents of forest fire which are getting out of control. When the fire spreading from around the roads is reaching the high hills, then it is becoming very challenging for the forest department to control the forest fire. In such a situation, help is being taken from Air Force helicopter. MI 17 helicopter is releasing two and a half thousand liters of water in one round from the water bucket. Continuous firing of rounds till the forest fire is extinguished. To a great extent, the Forest Department team is also making efforts to control the forest fire with promptness.

Chief Forest Conservator Garhwal Naresh Kumar said that the list of resources needed by the Forest Department team has been sought from the DFO. Soon all resources will be made available to the forest workers to extinguish the fire. At present the forest fire is being extinguished by providing fire kits.
