Uttarakhand: Administrative reshuffle expected after June 4, CM unhappy with performance of some officers

After June 4, the Dhami government of the state will come into full action mode. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who has been busy campaigning in various states for the last two months, can first decide to change the bureaucracy.

It is believed that the Chief Minister is said to be unhappy with some officers who were indifferent about the arrangements for forest fire, electricity and water and Chardham Yatra. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the charges of some officers can be changed. According to sources, the officers who were entrusted with the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra could not gauge the pressure of the excessive crowd of passengers.

Instructions to form an authority

The Chief Minister had to leave the election campaign midway and get on the front himself. He is constantly holding review meetings regarding the arrangements for Chardham. For the safety and convenience of the devotees coming to Uttarakhand in large numbers for darshan in Chardham Yatra from all over the country, the Chief Minister has given instructions to form a separate authority for the management and operation of the Yatra.

Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan not only has to decide the form of the Yatra Authority, but also prepare a roadmap regarding its operation. Forming a Yatra Authority is the Chief Minister’s top priority. It is believed that the form of the authority will be decided by July.

Work will be done on Ganga and Sharda Corridor

After June 4, the Dhami government will focus on projects related to infrastructure development. The work going on on the Rishikesh and Haridwar reconstruction corridor project on the Ganga river will gain momentum. The draft of the master plan of the Haridwar corridor has been prepared. Work will also gain momentum on the Sharda Corridor and Rishikesh Corridor in Champawat.

Focus will be on developing two new cities

Even before the Lok Sabha elections, the government has planned to develop one new city each in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions. After being freed from the bondage of the election code of conduct, the state government will focus on both these projects.

Government orders for development schemes will be issued

Due to the code of conduct, government orders related to development works could not be done. Government orders will be issued after June 4. The Chief Minister will also review the Finance Department regarding financial management. He will also assess the progress of budget expenditure and revenue receipt.

Will review pre-monsoon preparations

The Chief Minister will also review pre-monsoon preparations. He will especially know the progress of issues related to the reconstruction of Joshimath, which was affected by the landslide, and the interests of the affected families and the proposed schemes and will give guidelines to speed up this.

MLAs and workers also have expectations

MLAs and workers of the ruling BJP also have a lot of expectations from the Chief Minister. The cabinet expansion in the state has been awaited for a long time. Also, many responsibilities are still vacant in the state government. Workers have their eyes on these vacant seats.
