Uttarakhand: There is a dispute among the big leaders of Congress regarding the defeat, Harda and Mahara face to face

Two big leaders of Uttarakhand Congress have come face to face over the results of the Lok Sabha elections. On one hand, Congress state president Karan Mahra is blaming the big leaders who refused to contest the elections for the defeat. On the other hand, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat says that if the big leaders had also fought the elections from one side, then there was bound to be defeat. Only the margin of defeat would have been less.

There is a dispute among the big leaders of Congress over the defeat

There has been no review yet on the defeat in Uttarakhand Congress regarding the Lok Sabha elections. But the big leaders of Congress are also seen attacking each other through their statements regarding the defeat. Congress state president Karan Mahra had given a statement on the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections immediately after the election results. In which he had said that if the big leaders of Congress had contested the elections, the results of the Lok Sabha elections could have been different.

That is, his indication was towards former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, former state president and leader of opposition Yashpal Arya along with Pritam Singh who has also played the role of former state president and leader of opposition of Congress. Because all three big leaders refused to contest the elections.

Harda and Karan Mahara face to face

Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s reaction has come to the fore on the statement of the Congress state president. Harish Rawat says that if big leaders were also in the electoral fray, the margin of defeat could have been reduced. Where there was a defeat of 1.5 or 2 lakhs, the margin of 50 thousand could have been reduced. It is clear from Harish Rawat’s statement that if big leaders had contested the elections, the margin of defeat would have been less, nothing else would have happened. It means that it can be guessed from Harda’s statement that even then Congress would not have won any seat.

If big leaders had contested the elections, four seats would have been won in Uttarakhand

On Harda’s statement, Congress state president Karan Mahara says that he stands by his old statement. Even today he is saying that if big leaders had contested the Lok Sabha elections, Congress would have got four seats in Uttarakhand. BJP would have got only one seat.
