Her maternal family has been accused of murdering a married woman who had a love marriage in Shorti village of Jawar area of ​​​​Jhalawar district. It is alleged that the woman’s father and brothers kidnapped her from a bank in Harnavada area of ​​​​Baran district and killed her. After the murder, the family was cremating the body when the police reached the crematorium and took out the body from the pyre. However, the body was about 80 percent burnt.

Love marriage with a young man last year

Police said that 24-year-old Shimla, a resident of Shorti, had married a young man from Baran district in 2023. Due to this, the girl’s family was angry with her. On Thursday, Shimla Bai had come to withdraw money from Harnavada Shahji Bank in Baran district. Half a dozen people including the girl’s father, brother and mother kidnapped her from there and killed her and started cremating her in Shorti crematorium. But the police, who arrived on the information, took out the unburnt body.

The body was taken out from the burning pyre

Actually, the woman’s husband Ravi Bhil had lodged a complaint in the police station. It is alleged that he was chased away at the police station. When he informed the DSP about the matter, on information, Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Richa Tomar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Manohar Thana General Singh, Baran SP Rajkumar Chaudhary and other policemen reached the spot and took out the body by pouring water in the burning pyre. Forensic team was also called.

CCTV footage surfaced

Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the kidnapping of the married woman has also surfaced. In the CCTV footage, it can be seen how the girl’s father and four family members are forcibly picking her up from the bank and taking her with them. Initial investigation revealed that the girl was murdered somewhere in Baran district itself. When the girl died, her body was taken to the cremation ground of Jawar for last rites.
