Uttarakhand: Medical service fee reduced, now this much money will be charged

There was anger among the people regarding the increased fee of OPD and IPD registration in the regions. Meanwhile, good news has come out. The Finance Minister has reduced the medical service fee. Now patients will have to pay less fee for OPD and IPD registration in government hospitals.
Medical service fee reduced in Uttarakhand
Now patients will have to pay less fee for OPD and IPD registration in government hospitals of Uttarakhand. Along with this, ambulance and bed charges will also have to be paid less. State Finance Minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal has given his approval to the proposal. Soon it will be implemented in the government hospitals of the state. Due to which the burden of unnecessary increase on the general public will be reduced.
User charges will not be increased by 10 percent every year
Finance Minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal informed that due to the poor geographical conditions and weak economic conditions of the state, the general public in the hilly districts is dependent only on government hospitals. Due to this, the state government has considered reducing the rates of medical service fee.
Along with this, Dr. Agarwal said that now the user charges in the state will not increase by 10 percent every year. On the contrary, in the interest of the general public and patients, the user charges will be reviewed at the government level after three years.
Now this much amount will be charged
Dr. Agarwal said that till now 13 rupees were being charged in the OPD of the Primary Health Center. Which has now been reduced to 10 rupees. Similarly, in the Community Health Center, it has been reduced from 15 rupees to 10 rupees, while in the District and Sub-District Hospital, it has been reduced from 28 rupees to 20 rupees.
Dr. Agarwal said that till now 17 rupees were being charged in the IPD of the Primary Health Center, which has now been reduced to 15 rupees. Similarly, in the Community Health Center, it has been reduced from 57 rupees to 25 rupees, while in the District and Sub-District Hospital, it has been reduced from 134 rupees to 50 rupees.
Now this much fee will be charged for ambulance
Dr. Agrawal told that till now the patient vehicle fee in departmental ambulance was being charged at minimum Rs. 315 for five kilometers and Rs. 63 per kilometer for additional distance. Which has been made minimum Rs. 200 for five kilometers and Rs. 20 per kilometer for additional distance.
Dr. Agrawal told that on referral from Primary Health Center to Community Health Center, Community Health Center will not charge registration fee from the patient. Similarly, on referral from Sub District Hospital to District Hospital, registration fee will not be charged by District Hospital.
