Uttarakhand: Children from 6th to 8th class will also read about heritage and personalities, and will also be introduced to culture

Students from class 6 to 8 in government schools of Uttarakhand will now be able to read the saga of the sacrifice of immortal martyrs along with the state movement. For this, the book ‘Hamari Virasat Evam Vibhutiyan’ will be included as a supporting booklet for social science subject from class 6 to 8. In fact, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the book ‘Hamari Virasat Evam Vibhutiyan’ at the Secretariat on Thursday. Also directed the Education Department in this regard that the book ‘Hamari Virasat Evam Vibhutiyan’ should be included in the curriculum of the students.
After the announcement of the Chief Minister, the book ‘Hamari Virasat Evam Vibhutiyan’ has been prepared by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). The CM said that this book will give information to the young generation of the state about its rich cultural, folk heritage, folk songs, folk dances as well as all the dimensions of culture. And will also be able to get acquainted with the biographies of the great personalities of the state. The social and economic development of any country or state depends on the quality of education given to the children there. However, teachers also play a big role in this.
At the same time, Director General of Education Banshidhar Tiwari said that this book has been published in the interest of students as children’s literature. Through this, students will get information about the natural places, costumes, food and culture of the state. In the primary classes, students will be able to read about many great personalities including Sridev Suman, Teelu Rauteli. This book will also become the basis for all competitive examinations. Through this book, children will also get acquainted with the religious, historical, social and cultural heritage of the state. He also said that after publishing the book ‘Hamari Virasat Evam Vibhutiyan’ for students of class 6 to 8 by SCERT, a similar book will now be prepared for the students of class 9 and 10.
