Uttarakhand / Dehradun: DM took the meeting of District Hospital (Coronation) Committee, checked the budget received item wise and the arrangements of the hospital, gave instructions to build a library for children

District Magistrate Dehradun Savin Bansal, while holding a meeting of the District Hospital (Coronation) Committee, reviewed the budget received by the hospital item-wise and all the facilities present in the hospital in detail. He found flaws in the budget management. He expressed surprise over not deciding on the expenditure even after having the budget. The budget problem was solved on the spot, the needs of each department and doctor were fulfilled.

Important instructions of DM:-

  • All hospitals should have labs for testing, clean beds for patients, necessary medicines, light and presence of doctor is mandatory.
  • 40 lakhs approved for dark room for eye testing in Coronation Hospital.
  • Approval given on the spot to purchase AC equipment for wards and labs, instructions to make a message-oriented painting on the wall of the hospital.
  • Nothing is more important than the interest of the patient, take proper care of all the patients and their attendants.
  • Doctors and staff in the hospital should keep the human aspect paramount with patients and attendants, be gentle in their behavior.
  • Chandan Lab personnel expressed displeasure over being on call, DM asked why personnel are on call when payment is for 24 hours. CMO and PMS summoned for answer.
  • Patients should not spend money from their pockets, if unnecessary prescriptions for outside medicines are found in the mess, strict action will be taken.

The District Magistrate directed that a vehicle be hired for DIC from the savings of the District Hospital, which will facilitate local transportation for sick children and their families coming from far off places. He directed that the personnel of the contract lab will be available 24 hours in the hospital, the responsibility for this will be of the concerned verification officer. The concerned sub-district magistrate will conduct surprise inspection. He directed that all the activities conducted in the hospital should be kept in the meeting so that they can be reviewed and improved and monitored. The District Magistrate expressed displeasure over the repair work being pending for 2 years and sought a list of works. Instructions to immediately take up the repair work to be done in the hospital. While conducting a secret investigation of the cleanliness arrangements in the district hospital, the deficiencies were put before all the members through photos. He authorized the concerned cleaning company to take action against the ground situation of the cleanliness arrangements in the hospital.

The District Magistrate instructed to maintain politeness in dealing with the patients in the hospital and to work with a human approach. He said that there should be proper facilities in the hospital and necessary medicines and tests should be available. He also instructed that action will be taken if medicines are prescribed from outside.

Biometric attendance was sought through the portal for the presence of RBSK team in the field.
