The number of pilgrims increased in Chardham, more than 23 thousand devotees are reaching in a day, more than 40 lakh 92 thousand pilgrims have arrived so far during this Yatra period

The Chardham Yatra has gained momentum again. There is a long queue of visitors at Kedarnath Dham. On Monday, October 14, 27 thousand 789 pilgrims visited the Chardham. Despite the journey to Kedarnath being difficult and challenging, the highest number of 11 thousand 309 pilgrims reached here to visit Lord Kedar. Similarly, 6644 pilgrims visited Badrinath, 2406 in Gangotri and 3290 pilgrims visited Yamunotri. So far, a total of 40 lakh 92 thousand 360 pilgrims have visited the Chardham during this period.

Due to the efficient travel management and continuous monitoring of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, even the disaster of Kedarghati has not been able to dampen the enthusiasm of the pilgrims. The confidence of the pilgrims towards the government has increased due to better security arrangements and all arrangements on the travel route and halts. The enthusiastic pilgrims have praised the efforts of the government for this wholeheartedly. He says that it was not easy to restore the footpath in the situation where heavy rains had caused devastation in Kedarghati on the night of 31st July. The government accepted this difficult challenge and restored the yatra as soon as possible. Now the doors of all the four Dhams are going to be closed next month, so tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the pilgrims.

Smooth, safe and well-organized Chardham Yatra has been the top priority of the government. Every year lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad come for Chardham Yatra. Our government is committed to providing a safe environment to the pilgrims. Chardham Yatra is also linked to the economy of the state. Seeing the speed with which the number of devotees is increasing in the state today, we will have to expand the travel arrangements further. The exercise for this has also been started. This time the arrangements were affected due to the Kedarghati disaster, but the government faced this difficult challenge firmly and restored the Kedarnath Yatra.
