The Election Commission has today announced the dates for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections. Along with this, by-elections in many states have also been announced. Along with this, a big statement has been given on EVM.
No tampering in EVM
The Election Commission said that there has been no tampering in EVM. EVM is completely safe. Polling agent’s signature will also be on the EVM battery. EVM will be under 3 layer security. The Election Commission said that single use battery is used in EVM. It does not have a battery like mobile.
Along with this, the Election Commission has also announced the dates of elections for Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
When will voting take place in Maharashtra?
Elections will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. Elections will be held in Maharashtra in a single phase.
When will voting take place in Jharkhand?
Voting will take place in Jharkhand on November 13 and 20 and the results will come on November 23. Elections will be held in 2 phases in Jharkhand.
