Uttarakhand: NH officials flouted CM’s orders, roads were not made pothole free, people are angry

NH officials are openly seen flouting the orders of the Chief Minister. Let us tell you that the Chief Minister had given instructions to make the roads across the state pothole-free by October 15. Despite this, potholes remain deadly at many places on the Lohaghat-Pithoragarh National Highway.

NH officials flouted CM’s order

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given instructions to the concerned departments to make the roads of the state pothole-free by October 15. But the Chief Minister’s instructions have not been followed in Lohaghat. Many deadly potholes have been formed for a long time near Pancheshwar Taxi Stand, Recharge Hub Hotel, NH office in Lohaghat Pithoragarh National Highway. In which many two-wheeler drivers have fallen and got injured.

Local people demanded to fill the potholes

At the same time, the regional people and drivers say that even after the Chief Minister’s instructions to fill the potholes, the NH officials do not seem to be paying any heed. There are deadly potholes in the National Highway in Lohaghat, in which hundreds of vehicles pass every day. This is also the road to the NH office. Despite that, the potholes are not being filled, which is very unfortunate. People have demanded the government to fill the deadly potholes.

There is a lot of anger among the people

On the other hand, the potholes filled a month ago by PWD Lohaghat have come off. There are many potholes from Khetikhaan Square of Lohaghat to Kolipul. However, the potholes have been filled by PWD beyond Kolipul. At present, the Chief Minister’s orders do not seem to have any effect on the NH officials. Due to which there is a lot of anger among the local people.
