Women of Uttarakhand will soon get a gift, preparations are on to bring the proposal of women policy in Dhami cabinet

Women Welfare and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya today held a review meeting on the proposed ‘Women’s Policy’ with the officials of the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department in the Assembly. In the meeting, the departmental officials placed the draft of Uttarakhand State Women’s Policy 2024 before the minister, on various subjects of which the minister gave necessary suggestions to the officials.

The minister said that along with serious problems related to child abuse, pornography, deepfake videos and artificial intelligence, topics like mental health, drug addiction and rehabilitation of women pushed into prostitution will also be given place in this policy. This means that if a woman faces these issues, she will get policy assistance. Talking to the media, Women Welfare Minister Rekha Arya said that the women’s policy will not only ensure economic empowerment of our sisters and daughters but will also pave the way to make them self-reliant and self-reliant.

According to Women Welfare Minister Rekha Arya, in today’s discussion, the overall upliftment of single women, disabled and insane women as well as women living in border areas and women living in tribal communities was also discussed.
