An important decision has been taken on Tuesday after complaints of adulteration in the ghee of Prasad of the world famous Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh. The Puri temple has announced that only ghee from Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers Union will be used for the preparation of Mahaprasad and lighting lamps in the temple.
Action will be taken on bringing ghee from other brands
During the meeting, temple officials said that Omfed ghee will be the only source of these holy offerings. Prasad will be made from this ghee. After the meeting, the Chief Administrator of the temple has formally informed the Managing Director of Omfed about this decision. He has requested the establishment of a special depot to facilitate the supply. The temple administration warned that strict action will be taken against anyone bringing ghee from other brands to the Srimandir.
Special thing in the letter regarding OMFED ghee
The Chief Administrator wrote in the letter, it has been decided to use only OMFED ghee for preparing Mahaprasad and lighting lamps in the temple. This has been discussed and agreed with the officials. Therefore OMFED is requested to take steps to ensure adequate availability of OMFED GHEE in the temple.
