Uttarakhand: Before Kedarnath by-election, there is discord in Congress! Factionalism has ruined the hard work, how will the big challenge be overcome?

After the announcement of Kedarnath by-election, a period of factionalism has started in Congress. Just before the election on Kedarnath assembly seat, factionalism in Uttarakhand Congress has come to the surface. Party state president Karan Mahara is feeling uncomfortable due to a decision of state in-charge Kumari Shailja. The bitterness has increased so much that the high command is stopping any work. The high command and some big leaders of the state are engaged in obstructing the work of the Congress state president by raising some objection or the other. In such a situation, the question arises that what is the reason that Congress is not seen in an active role in the Kedarnath by-election.

A few days ago, the Congress party tried to create an atmosphere in its favor by taking out Kedarnath Pratishtha Raksha Yatra under the leadership of party state president Karan Mahara. After this, party state in-charge Kumari Shailja sought the names of observers from the Congress high command before the by-election. In which the names of young MLA and Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhavan Kapri and Virendra Jati were sent. Whose names were duly announced after getting approval from the high command, but suddenly the names of other two observers came to the fore. In this, former state president Ganesh Godiyal has been nominated as the chief observer and MLA Lakhpat Butola as the observer. After the latest turn in the observer case, factionalism has started within the party.

On one hand, while the Congress strongly raised the issue of gold plating of Kedarnath temple and the Kedarnath temple being built in Delhi in the Kedarnath Pratishtha Raksha Yatra, the factionalism of the Congress before the by-election has spoiled this hard work. The situation is such that after the announcement of the election, the workers and leaders are not seen in the Congress state headquarters. In such a situation, it is believed that due to the decisions of the high command, there is a lack of coordination between the state president and the top leadership and the big leaders of Uttarakhand Congress regarding the Kedarnath by-election. No virtual meeting or any meeting with the workers in Dehradun was held by the high command i.e. state in-charge Kumari Shailaja. This is the reason showing the frustration and disappointment of the Congress.

On one hand, it was believed that Congress was going to form the government in Haryana, but due to internal factionalism, the Congress government could not be formed in Haryana. Sources say that Kumari Selja had a great opportunity to correct the mistakes in the Kedarnath assembly by-election to be held in Uttarakhand, but due to her inactivity, the Kedarnath by-election is also becoming a challenge for the Congress party. Party sources also say that all her visits to Uttarakhand after becoming the state in-charge were only for a few hours. Not even for a single day did she take the trouble to establish communication with the workers and officials associated with the organization. Meetings were held with party leaders in air-conditioned rooms in Delhi, but she did not even consider it appropriate to meet the ground workers.

In fact, the state in-charge had also taken action on the appointment of the acting district president made by Karan Mahara in Pachhuadoon, Dehradun. The party had written a letter to the state president Mahara and cancelled all the appointments made during his tenure. Not only this, that letter was also made public, for which Mahara had to give clarification. The question arises whether Congress will be able to win the by-election in such an environment? Because the high command does not seem to be in coordination with the state Congress.
