The protest of the Zila Panchayat members, angry due to the absence of quarterly meeting for the last 2 years in Pauri district, continued for the third time today in front of the Zila Panchayat office. The Zila Panchayat members, angry due to the absence of quarterly meeting, got their heads shaved outside the Panchayat office as a protest.

Quarterly meeting has not been held in Pauri for the last two years. Due to which the angry members got their heads shaved outside the Zila Panchayat office as a protest. They said that due to the quarterly meeting, they are not able to put the problems of the area before the House, due to which development work is getting obstructed.

Zila Panchayat members warned of fierce agitation

The Zila Panchayat members alleged that there was no payment for the work done in the area and said that if action is not taken on their 6-point demands soon, then the angry Zila Panchayat members will be forced to go for a fierce agitation.

Alleging financial irregularities and corruption in the expenditure of the budget received from the state government in the District Panchayat Department, he also demanded immediate investigation of the matter and action against the culprits.
