PM Modi launched air ambulance service at Rishikesh AIIMS, AIIMS became the first institute in the country to do so

A new history has been added to the name of Rishikesh AIIMS on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the heli ambulance service in AIIMS Rishikesh. This ambulance service has been started under the Sanjeevani Yojana. All the 13 districts of Uttarakhand will get the benefit of this service. Heli ambulance service will prove to be a boon especially for the 11 hill districts of Uttarakhand. This heli ambulance will provide immediate medical facility during disaster and accident in the state. Heli ambulance services will be free for three years. AIIMS Rishikesh has become the first institute in the country to do so.

The heli ambulance service started under the Sanjeevani Yojana will be completely free. Earlier, the trial of the heli ambulance was done many times. After the trial, the heli ambulance was formally launched today.

The central and state governments are jointly operating the Sanjeevani Yojana. Both the central and state governments will bear 50-50 percent of the expenses in this. The most important thing is that under this scheme, it is mandatory to provide benefits to at least 30 needy people every month through heli ambulance. Seeing its success, this health service can also be linked to Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the coming days.
