9 hospitals of Uttarakhand will be removed from PPP mode, government will take them under its control by December, complaints are coming continuously

Under the Uttarakhand Health System Development Project, it has been decided to withdraw the contract of 9 hospitals including Ramdatt Joshi Joint Hospital, Ramnagar, which are operated on PPP mode. In this sequence, District Hospital, Bouradi, which is operated in Tehri Garhwal district, and two other medical units Bilkeshwar and Devprayag have been withdrawn recently.

Along with this, the government is going to take under its control the District Hospital, Pauri and Joint Hospital Pabau, Ghandiyal as well as Ramdatt Joshi Joint Hospital Ramnagar, Community Health Center Bhikiyasain and Bironkhal by removing them from PPP mode. Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that clear instructions have been given to the departmental officials in this regard. The minister said that there were constant complaints from the local public regarding the hospitals operated in PPP mode. Due to this, the government has decided to withdraw all the medical units operated in PPP mode and operate them on its own, so that better health facilities can be provided to the local people.

The government will take the hospitals under its control by December

Before taking back all the hospitals operating in PPP mode, the transfer process will be done after examining all the medical equipment and infrastructure available under the project. Under this, all the equipment and other necessary materials available during the project will be kept with the medical unit itself. The minister has directed the Chief Medical Officers and In-charge Officers of the concerned districts to prepare its list. In such a situation, only after the transfer process is completed, the government has decided to take these medical units under its control by the month of December and deploy doctors and paramedical staff.
