Uttarakhand: Two drug smugglers arrested with smack worth 82 lakhs in Udham Singh Nagar, links to UP
The STF Anti Narcotics Task Force team has arrested two drug smugglers from Pulbhatta police station area of Udham Singh Nagar district. Smack worth about Rs 82 lakh has been recovered from the possession of the smugglers. Both the accused have been presented in the court and sent to jail. Also, the STF team is investigating the criminal record of the accused.

Let us tell you that in Pulbhatta area, the STF Anti Narcotics Task Force, in a joint operation with the local police, arrested smugglers Veerpal and Sher Singh with 275 grams of smack from near the Sales Tax Office Pulbhatta. The recovered smack is worth Rs 82 lakh.
The smugglers used to bring smack from Bareilly
The accused told during interrogation that they had taken the smack from Chandrasen resident Bareilly. They were going to sell the smack at high prices in Pulbhatta, Kichha and Rudrapur areas. For a long time, they were bringing smack from Bareilly, Mirganj and Fatehganj and supplying it in Rudrapur, Sitarganj, Kichha and Pulbhatta areas.
So far 43 smugglers have been sent to jail
SSP STF Navneet Bhullar said that during interrogation of the accused, names of many other drug smugglers have been revealed, on whom separate action will be taken. He said that so far this year 06.714 kg smack, 19.808 kg hashish, 5.322 kg opium, 300 kg poppy husk and 07 MD have been recovered. Also, 43 smugglers have been arrested.
