A three-member investigation committee team has reached the spot in the case of collapse of the structure of the under-construction bridge being built by PWD near the railway bridge in Roorkee. After which the team has started investigating the reasons for the collapse of the bridge.

The investigation report will be submitted by evening
The team that reached Roorkee also investigated whose negligence it was during the collapse of the bridge or whether this incident happened due to some other reason. Giving information, the Chief Engineer said that an investigation is being conducted in the matter. All points are being looked into. The investigation report will be submitted to high-level officials by this evening.

Under-construction bridge in Roorkee suddenly collapsed
According to the information, there is Peer Baba Colony on the Kavad track in Roorkee, where an iron bridge was being constructed to connect the railway station on the proposal of MLA Pradeep Batra under the Chief Minister’s announcement, the foundation stone of this bridge was laid by the Chief Minister in the year 2023, while the responsibility of building this bridge was given to the Public Works Department.

No loss of life and property in the accident
Recently, when the water of the Ganges canal was stopped, the construction of the bridge was expedited, while the structure of the bridge was prepared by the concerned contractor and tied over the Ganges canal. It is being told that after the water came in the Ganges canal on the night of October 30, the under-construction bridge suddenly collapsed at around 11 am on October 31. Fortunately, no laborer was working on the bridge during this accident. There has been no loss of life and property in the accident.
