Madhya Pradesh: Negligence in removing the statue of late Madhavrao Scindia, 4 engineers suspended, notice issued to NHAI officials

Politics has started over the wrong removal of the statue of Union Minister Late Madhavrao Scindia in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. The reason behind this is a viral video, in which the statue of Madhavrao Scindia is being removed by putting a strap around its neck and lifting it with a JCB and placing it aside.

Actually the whole matter is of Chaka bypass. Here a flyover bridge is being constructed by Shree G Company. Due to the same work, Madhavrao Scindia Memorial had to be removed. On this, the company has carelessly removed the statue of Madhavrao Scindia. The viral video has been posted on X by Katni youth Congress leader Divyanshu Mishra and written that senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Late Madhavrao Scindia ji was installed with great respect and prestige, today he was removed in the same insulting manner by tying a rope around the neck of the statue, which is unfortunate. We demand that his statue be re-installed with respect.

At the same time, Congress leader Amit Shukla also strongly condemned this. He said that we have informed Jyotiraditya Scindia about this video through a tweet. Will he now raise questions for our respected leader and revered father Madhavrao Scindia in the BJP rule. At the same time, Katni Collector Dilip Yadav, taking the side of the company, said that the help of JCB has been taken due to the heavy weight of the statue, but if the protocol has been violated, action will be taken.

This type of insensitivity is unacceptable

The viral video is said to be of yesterday. As soon as the matter came to the notice of BJP State President Vishnudutt Sharma, the matter was condemned and the Katni Collector and NHAI officials were immediately directed. It has been said that the statue should be relocated and installed at the best place along with beautification. He said that this type of insensitivity with the statue of great men who contributed to the building of the nation and society is unacceptable.

Action taken on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a JCB was used to remove the statue of late Shri. The administration has taken strict action on shifting the statue of Madhav Rao Scindia without permission. Engineers of construction agencies have been suspended. Project Director National Highways Authority of India Katni Anand Prasad said that the construction work of National Highway No. 30 Katni-Bypass road is in progress. Development work of Chaka Junction is proposed in this. The statue of late Madhav Rao Scindia was already installed here. The statue was to be installed at a new identified place after obtaining permission from the administration for shifting it for development work. On receiving information about the shifting of the statue without permission by the construction agency, strict action has been taken against the responsible officers on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

Three suspended for negligence

After this, the Project Director of NHAI has immediately suspended Senior Engineer Manoj Sharma, Engineer Ashish Singh Parihar, Team Leader Rajesh Kumar Nema and Assistant Bridge Engineer Deepak Soni from service after finding them guilty of negligence. The officials of National Highways Authority of India have also been issued a show cause notice regarding negligence towards work and have been directed to reply within 3 days.
