Uttar Pradesh: Dispute between two parties in Moradabad, angry people put up migration posters outside their homes
There was a stir in Mehbulla Ganj of Katghar, Moradabad, due to the rumours of a person living on the road of Deputy Jagannath Singh Mandir selling his house to a person of another community. Angered, 20-25 people of the locality have put up posters of migration on their houses.
It is written in the poster that I have migrated along with my family. On getting information about this, the police also became active. A person has been having a dispute with the people in the locality for the last several days. Due to this, the police also had to come several times to calm the matter. A person living in the locality wants to sell his house.
He has a two-storey house near Shishu Mandir. The people of the locality say that Rahul Gupta is not ready to sell the house to a person of Hindu community. He wants to sell the house to a person of another community. The people of the locality said that this matter has already been placed before the City Magistrate, Katghar CO and SP City.
There was no hearing anywhere. Angered by this, people put up posters of migration on their houses. People say that many people of the locality are ready to pay a good price for the house, but the landlord is adamant on selling the house to a person of another community.
People said, they will migrate
Ramji of the locality told that the road to Shishu Mandir is adjacent to Lajpat Nagar Police Station. This entire area has become of another community. Due to this, there is a dispute every day between the students while going to Shishu Mandir. There have been complaints about this earlier also.
Due to this dispute, most of the children now go to school through the temple premises of Deputy Sahab. He said that we do not want people of other community to buy Rahul Gupta’s house, otherwise there will be a dispute. Anshu and Ramvati, who put up posters of migration on the door, said that the administration is not listening to their case.
If the house is sold to a person of another community, then they will migrate. Robin, Premraj, Kailash Giri, Ram Singh, Ballu Ram, Vibhav Singh also said the same thing. Anand’s polish factory is here, he says that if a person from another community buys a house in his locality, he will also migrate. All the people also protested.
CO-Police Station Incharge gave assurance of resolving the issue
On the request of SP City, the people of the locality reached Katghar police station at 4 pm on Saturday. CO Katghar Ashwani Singh, Police Station Incharge Sanjay Kumar, Lajpat Nagar Chowki Incharge Brijesh Kumar were present here. Along with the people of the locality, BJP Mandal President Harish Prajapati, Ward-48 Councilor Kuldeep Narayan and Lajpat Nagar Councilor Vivek Sharma also went to the police station.
Along with them were the manager of Shishu Mandir School of the locality, Devraj Singh, Vinod Saxena, Neeraj Gupta, Ram Ji Ram, Nivesh Gumbar, Dheershant Das Ardhamouni. Ramji told that the CO and the Police Station Incharge have said that the issue will be resolved on November 24 after the Kundarki by-election.
He told that Abhinandan has taken the ground floor of the disputed house on rent. He does handicraft work in this building. All the rooms on the first floor are vacant.
There has been a riot in Lajpat Nagar earlier too
A similar case had come up in Lajpat Nagar a few years ago, where a person had sold a house to a person from another community. When the people of the locality came to know about it after the registration, they protested a lot. A memorandum was also given to the administration.
