Uttarakhand: Road accident in Haridwar; High speed truck hits buffalo buggy, one dead, two injured
A road accident took place in Haridwar on Sunday morning. A speeding truck hit a buffalo buggy. A young man and a buffalo died in the accident. While two youths are said to be injured.
High speed truck hit a buffalo buggy
According to the information received, Brahmanwala resident Popin (28), Shekhar (25) and Saurabh were going to the fields towards Khanpur with their buffalo buggy in Khanpur police station area around six o’clock on Sunday morning. As soon as they reached near Khanpur town on Khanpur-Laksar highway, a speeding truck coming from Laksar hit them hard.
One youth died on the spot in the accident
The collision was so strong that Popin and a buffalo died on the spot. While Shekhar and Saurabh were injured. Seeing the accident, a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. The villagers informed the police about the accident. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. After the accident, the villagers have blocked the highway.
