Uttarakhand: BJP will get new state president by February, delay due to assembly elections
The state BJP, which has started preparing for the organizational elections, will get a new state president by February. Earlier, the possibility of election for the new state president was being expressed by the end of December, but due to the assembly elections in the states amid the membership campaign, the party’s organizational election program is getting postponed.
State convener of the primary membership campaign Kuldeep Kumar claims that the party has made more than 22 lakh members than the target. Now after getting guidance from the central leadership, the process of organization election will move forward. According to party sources, 12-member units are to be formed in all 11,729 booths by November 30. This process has started.
The party has to form 50 percent booth committees by November 20, i.e. Wednesday, at any cost. State President Mahendra Bhatt has to inform about the formation of these committees in the proposed national review meeting in the last week of November.
In this meeting, the central leadership board can decide the election program for the formation of district committees. After this, the process of election of the state president will begin. It is believed that the party will decide the election of the state president in the last week of January next year or the beginning of February.
