Uttarakhand: Voting will be held tomorrow for Kedarnath by-election, more than 90 thousand voters will decide the fate of the candidates

Voting for the by-election on Kedarnath assembly seat will be held tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday. For which polling parties have left. Yesterday, 7 polling parties left for remote polling booths. Whereas, today 166 polling parties left from Agastyamuni Krida Maidan. At the same time, tight security arrangements have been made for voting.
Rudraprayag District Election Officer Saurabh Gahwar said that postal ballot facility has been provided for the personnel deployed in Kedarnath Assembly. According to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission, elderly, youth and unique booths have been prepared in the assembly, including Divyang booths, in which voters of the concerned area or village have been appealed to compulsorily vote in tomorrow’s polling.
173 polling booths set up for voting in Kedarnath by-election
He said that a total of 173 polling booths have been set up for voting in Kedarnath by-election. In which 7 polling parties were sent to their destination on Monday. Along with this, polling parties have been dispatched to all polling booths today.
DM Gahwar said that election related orders and material were made available to the polling parties from 7 am today. After testing, all polling parties were dispatched to their destinations as per the route plan. Police force is deployed with the polling parties in view of security. Also, local forest rangers have been deployed in places where there are forest areas.
90,875 voters will decide the fate of the candidates
At the same time, Chief Development Officer GS Khati said that this time there are 90,875 voters in Kedarnath assembly. Which includes 44,919 male and 45,956 female voters. Kedarnath assembly has been divided into two zones and 27 sectors. In view of security, regional forest officers have been sent to the forest area and CPF team to sensitive booths.
Webcasting arrangements at 130 polling booths
Apart from this, webcasting arrangements have been made at 130 polling booths. Apart from this, Revenue Sub Inspector, Gram Vikas Adhikari, BLO of the concerned area have also been deployed. So that, voters do not face any problem in commuting and other election related arrangements.
