Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna in Almora said that the position of BJP candidates is very good on 95% seats including Almora Municipal Corporation in Uttarakhand. He said that the outgoing board of Mussoorie neither gave any land nor cooperated in the development work of parking, residential colony and etc. He said that the rights of the sanitation workers have been violated by the outgoing board. The government had issued a government order to give ₹500 honorarium to sanitation workers in the entire state, whereas the outgoing board of the Nagar Palika had committed a big scam and was giving the sanitation workers an honorarium of ₹272. Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi said that after the BJP board comes to power in the municipality, the first work will be the renovation of the houses of the sanitation workers. He said that in the Nagar Palika elections, the BJP is in direct competition with the Congress. He said that the BJP’s candidate for the post of President, Meera Saklani, has been associated with politics.
