New order issued for IAS officers in Uttarakhand, permission will have to be taken from the ‘boss’ before going on leave

Before the start of the new financial year 2025-26, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued a big order for all IAS officers. Under this, all the officers of the Indian Administrative Service will have to compulsorily inform the Chief Secretary before going on leave i.e. before leaving the headquarters. Also, permission has to be obtained for leave. Regarding this, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also issued an order regarding the leave of all Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.

According to the order issued by the Chief Secretary’s Office, all the officers of the Indian Administrative Service will compulsorily inform the Chief Secretary before going on various leaves like EL, CCL, travel leave, half pay leave, maternity leave, paternity leave / leaving the headquarters. Also will get permission for leave.

In fact, till now such cases were coming to the fore in the leaves being taken by the officers that the officers used to leave the headquarters without the permission of the Chief Secretary and later it was known that the officer is on leave. Seeing this, the Chief Secretary has taken a strict stand on this attitude of the officers. Along with this, all the IAS officers have been instructed that before going on leave, they must inform the Chief Secretary’s office. Along with this, they will also take permission for the leave.
