Uttarakhand government will supply vegetables and meat to the army and SSB, MOU will be signed soon

The Uttarakhand government is providing goats, sheep and fish to the ITBP battalion through committees. In such a situation, now the Uttarakhand government is taking steps to supply food grains, vegetables and meat to the Army and SSB as well. In this direction, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed the Cooperative Department to take forward the action of MoU with SSB and Army for providing food grains, vegetables, milk and meat, so that Vocal for Local can be encouraged more.

A meeting of the State Cooperative Development Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the officials to work towards fixing MSP for Jhangora like the state’s local grain Mandua. Along with this, the DM of the border districts has also been instructed to encourage the cultivation of millets on vacant cultivable land in the border areas. CS directed the District Magistrates to complete the target of formation of 601 MPACS (New Multipurpose Primary Agriculture Cooperatives) Dairy/Fisheries Society in all the districts of the state on time.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi held a meeting of the State Cooperative Development Committee to effectively organize the International Cooperative Year at the ground level in the state. Under which the Chief Secretary directed all the District Magistrates to connect as many people as possible to its events to effectively celebrate the International Cooperative Year in the year 2025 in the state. Along with this, instructions were also given to involve local cooperative committees at the ground level in the planning, implementation and monitoring of conferences, exhibitions, cultural programs to be organized under the International Cooperative Year in the districts.
