Uttar Pradesh / Ghaziabad: Brother and sister found hanging from the same dupatta, had told the landlord that they are husband and wife

On Tuesday afternoon, the bodies of a young man and a young woman were found hanging from a noose with the same dupatta in Mahindra Enclave. According to the police, the bodies of the deceased Piyush (24 years) and Nisha (18 years) were found hanging from a noose.
The police also found a three-page suicide note from the spot in which both have not held anyone responsible for their death. Initial investigation has revealed that the young man and the woman were cousins.

Both had run away from home a few days ago. They had told the owner of the house in which they had rented a room in Mahindra Enclave that they were husband and wife. According to the police, Piyush was originally from Alapur village in Farrukhabad.
Neighbor tenant Pooja says that the couple had come to live on February 18. Neighbors saw them last night at around 10:30 pm but after that both did not come out. When both did not come out till this afternoon, the neighbors peeped into the room through the skylight of the door.
It is suspected that both of them committed suicide sometime on Monday night
Both were found hanging inside. The bodies of both were found hanging on the iron girder with the same dupatta. After this, the police was informed about the matter. The police (Ghaziabad Police) who came to the spot brought down the bodies of both and sent them for post-mortem. It is believed that both of them committed suicide sometime on Monday night.
It has been learned that the police have also found about 31 thousand rupees and a toe ring from Piyush. The landlord Sohanveer says that a few days ago Piyush had come to him to rent a room. He has rented the room by telling Nisha to be his wife.
