Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday inaugurated the auditorium of Doon Medical College built at a cost of 26 crores. Along with this, he handed over the appointment of 1232 new nursing officers in the state.

Congratulating all the nursing officers, Chief Minister Dhami said that now quick medical services will be available to the patients in government medical colleges. The CM said that the nursing staff and health workers have played an important role during the Corona epidemic. When the whole world was struggling with this crisis, our nursing staff and health workers were engaged in selfless service as frontline warriors.
More than 11 lakh patients took advantage of Ayushman Yojana
CM Dhami said that under the Ayushman Yojana, more than 11 lakh patients in the state have got the benefit of cashless treatment of more than Rs 2100 crore. Apart from this, we are setting up a medical college in every district of the state, so that people of our remote areas can easily get modern health facilities in their district itself.
More than 22 thousand youth given government jobs in 3 years
The CM said that heli ambulance service has been started for every area of the state, which is proving to be a lifesaver for the people of remote areas in any emergency. The CM said that continuous efforts are also being made to overcome the shortage of staff in government hospitals and medical colleges, in this sequence, 173 assistant professors, 56 faculty members and 185 technicians have been appointed so far to strengthen medical education. As a result of this, in just 3 years, more than 22 thousand youth of the state have been successful in getting government jobs.
